Aim
and Objectives |
 |
The
ultimate aim with the project is to create awareness of African
fashion and culture. The Fashion In Africa project is about celebrating,
showcasing and assisting in developing the whole African fashion
and textile industry, as well as its cultural diversity, and demonstrating
its inherent strength. |
The project will encourage fashion designers
to put African designs firmly on national and international catwalks
and to contribute to job creation in the clothing and textile
industries in the long run.
The designs will draw from Africa’s rich
and diverse culture and traditions, but will also embrace the practicalities
of the modern world.
